That’s why we’ve introduced a brand-new homepage for Pencil Spaces. Designed to give you a more useful starting point when you log in, it makes it easier to find upcoming classes, access your most-used Spaces, and get the information you need to keep things running smoothly.
Find the right class without scrolling through a long list of Spaces
When teachers and students have multiple Spaces to choose from, finding the right one can take longer. We designed our new homepage to give everyone a more useful starting point, with information tailored to each user’s unique role.
For teachers and students at institutions using scheduling, upcoming events now appear directly on the homepage. When it’s time for a lesson, a Join button allows them to head straight to the correct Space — no scrolling or searching required.
We’ve also made it easier to access the Spaces you work with most. The homepage displays your two or three most recentSpaces, along with a quick and easy way to create a new one. And if you need to browse or manage your full list Spaces, you can still access your Space Manager from both the dashboard and the left-hand menu.

Whether you’re new to Pencil Spaces or just need a hand with something, getting the right guidance should be straightforward.
For new institution admins, the homepage also includes a step-by-step guide to help you get familiar with Pencil and make the most of its features. It’s the ideal starting point when you’re still learning your way around and getting your institution set up.
Everyone can also find quick links to run a Tech Check or to access troubleshooting resources from the homepage. That way, if you need to double-check your setup before a lesson or work through a technical issue, help is just one click away.
