Offline Events
One schedule for every lesson.
How do you teach?
Hybrid programs end up with two schedules, one for online lessons and one for in-person, and they never quite match. Offline Events put in-person lessons in the same calendar as online ones.
Your tutoring company teaches some students at the center and some online, and the two schedules never match. Mark each lesson Online or Offline in one calendar.
If some of your classes meet in person, schedule them as offline events in the same calendar as your online classes.
If parts of your program meet in person, schedule them as offline events alongside the virtual trainings, in one calendar.
Your in-person lessons and online catch-up lessons shouldn’t live in different tools. Choose Offline for the lessons in your room, and keep one calendar.
Your workshops happen in rooms, not online. Schedule them as offline events, in the same calendar as any virtual follow-ups.
If your child has some lessons in person and some online, they’re all in one schedule, so you know where to be and when.

The problem
Two schedules for one program
Hybrid programs run in-person and online lessons side by side. Keeping them in separate tools means clashes, missed lessons and attendance fixed by hand.
The usual way
Admins keep a spreadsheet for in-person lessons and a calendar for online ones, and reconcile them every week.
How Pencil Spaces solves it
Offline and online events are managed from one scheduling system: choose Online or Offline for each lesson.
What changes
Hybrid programs run from a single schedule, with no second tool to keep in sync.
What it looks like
In practice
A tutoring center schedules a student’s Monday lesson as Offline at the center and Thursday’s as Online. Both appear in one calendar.
In a 1:1 lesson
Your Saturday group meets at the center and weekday students meet online. Every lesson sits in the same calendar.
In a group class
Your online school runs a monthly in-person meetup. It sits in the same calendar as the weekly online classes.
In a virtual training
Your program’s kickoff is in person and the rest is virtual. Both are in one schedule.
In your classroom
Your in-class reading groups are offline events, and the online catch-up lessons for absent students are in the same calendar.
In the training room
You schedule the offsite as an offline event and the virtual follow-up a week later, in one calendar.
At home
Your daughter’s Tuesday lesson is at the learning center and Friday’s is online. You see both in one place.
