Students · During the lesson
Tired, or having a bad day
Students come to lessons tired, worried or upset, and a lesson that ignores it goes nowhere.
Free for 2 weeks on any paid plan. No credit card required.
How Pencil Spaces solves it
The features that solve this are on the way. Talk to the team about timing.
Soon, a student who had a hard day will tap one button as she joins to say how she feels, through Wellbeing Check-ins. Her tutor will see it and start gently.
The Music Player will add calm music she can turn down or off. Over time, the check-ins will flag patterns to the staff the program chooses.
- Wellbeing Check-insComing soonWellbeing Check-ins, in development, will ask each student how they feel with one tap as they join, and flag patterns over time to the staff you choose.
- Music PlayerComing soonThe Music Player, in development, will let you play calm or focus music in the Space, and each student will be able to turn it down or off.
The usual way
Teachers notice only when a student shuts down.
A tip you can use today
Start each lesson with a quick check-in, even just a thumbs up, sideways or down.
See it in a live Space.
We’ll walk you through it, shaped around how you teach.
