Wellbeing Check-ins

How are you today?

Students learn little when something else is weighing on them, and a tutor often can’t tell. Wellbeing Check-ins, in development, will ask each student how they feel with one tap as they join, and flag patterns over time to the staff you choose.

Your student arrives after a rough day, and you don’t find out until halfway through. Soon, a one-tap check-in as they join will tell you before you start.

On video, you can’t read the room before you start teaching. Soon, a one-tap check-in as students join will show you how the class is feeling.

Wellbeing Check-ins are built for young learners and the staff who look after them, so they aren’t part of adult training.

For lessons in a Space, a one-tap check-in will show how students feel as they join, and patterns over time will reach the staff you choose. In development.

Your child will be able to say how they’re feeling as a lesson starts, so their tutor can adjust, and concerns over time reach the right adult early.

The problem

A bad day nobody sees

Students learn little when something else is weighing on them. Tutors can’t read it through a screen, and a pattern over weeks goes unnoticed.

La méthode habituelle

Tutors ask “How are you?” and get “Fine.”

How Pencil Spaces solves it

Students learn little when something else is weighing on them. Wellbeing Check-ins will ask each student how they feel, with one tap, as they join, so the tutor sees the room before teaching and can adjust. Over time, patterns, such as a student who has felt low for several lessons, will be flagged to the staff you choose, alongside your safeguarding alerts. In development.

Quels sont les changements ?

Tutors who meet students where they are, and concerns that reach the right adult early.

What we’re building

  • A one-tap mood check as students join
  • The tutor sees the room before teaching
  • Patterns over time flagged to your staff
  • Works with your safeguarding alerts

What it looks like

Dans la pratique

As students join, each taps how they feel. The tutor sees two are low and starts with something lighter. One student has felt low for several lessons, and that pattern is flagged to the staff the program chose, alongside its safeguarding alerts.

In a 1:1 lesson

Your student taps that she’s tired, so you start with a quick win before the hard topic.

In a group class

You see much of the class is stressed before a test, and spend five minutes on review first.

In a virtual training

Wellbeing Check-ins aren’t part of adult training; they’re built for young learners.

In your classroom

A student who has felt low for several lessons is flagged to the counselor you chose.

In the training room

Wellbeing Check-ins aren’t part of workshops; they’re built for young learners.

At home

Your son taps that he’s nervous, and his tutor takes a few minutes to put him at ease.

See it in a live Space.

We’ll walk you through it, shaped around how you teach.
