Session Timer
Every lesson, on pace.
Comment enseignez-vous ?
Lessons that run over make the next one start late, and lessons that end early waste time. The Session Timer shows a visible countdown, with extensions when a lesson needs a few more minutes.
When one lesson runs over, every lesson after it starts late. A visible countdown keeps you on pace, and you can add five minutes without throwing off your next student.
Without a clock in view, the best part of class gets cut off. The countdown keeps you and your students on pace, with extensions when you need them.
Trainings that overrun lose people to their next meeting. A visible countdown keeps each section on time, and you can extend when the discussion is worth it.
The bell doesn’t wait for your exit ticket. Put the countdown on the classroom display so you and your students pace the lesson together.
Workshop agendas slip one exercise at a time. Put the countdown on the big screen so the room keeps pace, and extend when a discussion is worth it.
Homeschool days run long when there’s no clock. A visible countdown helps your child pace each lesson and see when it ends.

The problem
Lessons run over and the next one starts late
Without a visible clock, lessons drift. They run over and push back everything after them, or end early with time left on the table.
La méthode habituelle
Teachers glance at a phone or a corner clock and guess. Students can’t see how much time is left, so nobody paces themselves.
How Pencil Spaces solves it
A visible lesson countdown timer, with configurable extensions. Add time while students keep working, and everyone can see when the lesson will end.
Quels sont les changements ?
Lessons that end on time. Lessons stay on schedule, so the next one starts on time too.
What it looks like
Dans la pratique
In a 45-minute lesson from 3:45 to 4:30, the teacher clicks +5 min while the student keeps working. The lesson now ends at 4:35, so the 4:45 lesson still starts on time.
In a 1:1 lesson
Your 3:45 student is close to cracking a problem at 4:28. You add five minutes, she finishes, and your 4:45 lesson still starts on time.
In a group class
Students can see 10 minutes left on the countdown and finish their answers. Class ends on time, and so does the next one.
In a virtual training
The countdown shows 15 minutes for the case discussion. When it gets good, you add five minutes and still end before the hour.
In your classroom
The countdown on the classroom display shows 8 minutes left. Students start the exit ticket without being told.
In the training room
Each exercise runs to the countdown on the big screen. The workshop finishes at 5:00 as promised.
At home
Your son sees 10 minutes left on his reading lesson and paces himself. He finishes the chapter just as the timer ends.
