Greatness never stops.
The Online SuperTutor Studio is a 12-month program for full-time tutors — hardware, software, brand, business, and a circle of peers — built around , delivered across the year, set up at your door.Pencil Spaces Master
The hardware excellent tutors have always wanted, configured to disappear into the work. The work, finally given the room it deserves.
When a parent shows up to a session, when a student tells a friend, when a colleague asks where you got that — every detail should be ready.
A year of coaching, a book a month, a circle of peers. Excellence is what's left after a year of paying attention.

The standard
Somewhere right now a tutor is on a call at 9pm, pulling up a problem they've explained a hundred times, and explaining it again — better than the last time. Patiently. Carefully. Watching for the moment a student's face changes. Living for that moment.
Teaching is one of the most important things people do for each other. The work we trust with our children. The work that builds every other profession. And great tutors — the ones who change a kid's relationship with math, with reading, with their own mind — do work that compounds for decades after the session ends.
Somewhere out there is a student you haven't met yet who'll get into a school they didn't think they could, find a passion they didn't know they had, become someone they didn't know they could be — because you showed up at 9pm and explained it again. That work deserves more than a webcam from 2018 and a cracked tablet on a stack of books. It deserves a setup that matches its weight.
The tutors who set the standard already know this. Their cameras are sharp. Their voices carry. Their domains are theirs. Their materials look designed. Parents notice. Students notice. Word travels. Waitlists form. And the tutors themselves keep getting better — because everything around the teaching has stopped getting in the way.
We built the Online SuperTutor Studio because brilliant teachers shouldn't have to spend six months and fifteen thousand dollars figuring out which microphone, which chair, which website builder, which LLC service, which lighting setup. The standard exists. We packaged it. And then we surrounded it with a circle of other tutors taking the craft as seriously as you do, a book in the mail every month, a quiet book club to discuss it, an inbox of invitations to parent meetups and education conferences, a coach on call, and a setup that gets out of the way so you can do what you came to do.
One studio. Two thousand dollars a month for twelve months. Hardware, software, brand, infrastructure, coaching, library, cohort — all delivered across the year, all yours at the end. Renew for Year 2 with a hardware refresh, or take what you've built and keep going. The practice is yours either way.
A year from now, you'll either be the tutor you know you're meant to be — running a practice that looks the way it feels, charging what your work is worth, in the company of peers who push you — or you'll be where you are now, with another year gone.
The studio assumes you're earning a real income from tutoring, you have a place at home to set it up, and you're ready for a 12-month commitment. If those describe where you are, an application makes sense. If not, Pencil Spaces Pro is the same platform at $6 a month — and it's where most of the studio's tutors started.
The kit
Twenty-plus items, sequenced across the year so your studio builds itself one wave at a time. No avalanche of ten boxes on a Tuesday. Each delivery is a small ceremony, designed to be felt — not survived.
What's in the studio, and why
A 16-inch MacBook Pro. A 5K Studio Display. An iPad Pro for annotation. A Cintiq for whiteboarding that feels like paper. Four screens, one workflow — arriving across months one and two.

Three points of light, placed deliberately. The difference between "person on a webcam" and "person in a studio" isn't the camera. It's how you're lit.

The practice
Excellence isn't only what shows up on camera. It's the brand on your business card, the LLC behind your invoices, the network you can call when something comes up. We build all of it.
12 months of our top platform. Full AI suite, 12-month recordings, advanced scheduling, parent dashboards. Normally $60/mo, included here.
LLC, EIN, business insurance, professional liability, first-year tax filing, and any state licenses required. We handle the paperwork.
Logo system, business cards, letterhead, branded stationery — and a custom one-page site with booking, on your own domain. Hosted, year one.
A real human walks you through cabling, lighting placement, mic gain, and how to look like yourself on camera. 90 minutes.
Four calls a year with a senior practitioner. Pricing, packaging, parent comms, scaling the practice — the things that compound.
A book a month. Pedagogy, craft, the philosophy of teaching, the business of running a practice. Curated by the cohort, mailed to your door.
Private peer cohort, WhatsApp groups, monthly book club, invitations to parent meetups and education conferences. Quiet rooms, high signal.
Spill on the keyboard. Drop the iPad. Sit on the headphones. We replace it. No deductible, no claim form.
The alternatives
Building a real tutoring practice used to mean a franchise, a commercial lease, or six months of guessing what to buy. None of those leave you with something you actually own.
Up-front fee. Ongoing royalties. Their brand on your door, their playbook on your sessions.
Rent forever. Buildout once. Plus the commute, every day, both ways.
Twenty-plus decisions. Five returns. A studio that doesn't quite work — and no one to ask why.
Two thousand a month for twelve months. Hardware arrives in monthly waves. Brand, business, coaching, community — built into the program, yours at the end. Renew for Year 2 with a refresh, or step off and keep everything you've built.
Twelve months. One practice.
About what one good month of billings looks like at $200/hr. The kit pays for itself if it helps you book three extra sessions a week — and the kit is most of the reason you'll book them.
We approve based on whether your practice can use it, not your credit score. If it's not the right fit after the first month, we'll work it out. Currently US‑only — international applications opening 2027.
The process
Five minutes. We respond in two business days.
Everything in one shipment, labeled, with a runbook. Most kits land in 5–7 days.
90-minute video call. Cables, lights, mic, framing — done while you watch.
First sessions inside a week. Coaching kicks in at month one.
Honest answers
Two reasons. We onboard a limited number of tutors each month because every studio ships with a real human setting it up — not a packing slip. And the studio only makes sense if your practice can actually use it. We'd rather decline a fit that wouldn't recoup the cost than ship a Cintiq to someone who tutors twice a month. Most applications get approved.
You complete the program. The hardware is yours — laptop, displays, mic, lights, chair, all of it. Free and clear. Then you choose: renew for Year 2 at the same $2,000/mo and we ship a hardware refresh (new laptop, accessories upgrade, anything aging gets replaced) plus another year of coaching, library, and cohort — or step off and keep everything you've built. Most tutors renew. The practice keeps growing.
The first 12 months are a real commitment — we front the hardware. If life happens (illness, relocation, change of plans), we work it out: pay the remaining months and keep the gear, return what's resellable for a partial credit, or transfer the program to another tutor in the cohort. We've never sued anyone, and we don't intend to start.
Sometimes. Email us before applying. The studio is curated as a system — the value comes from things working together — but we'll occasionally swap a laptop credit toward an upgrade elsewhere (Studio Display, Cintiq Pro 17, additional acoustic treatment). We don't do à la carte. The whole point is one decision, not twenty.
We finance it directly — that's what the monthly structure is. No third-party loan, no credit pull. We bill the card or ACH on file each month. If you'd rather prepay the first year upfront ($22,000 — save $2,000), we'll set that up too.
Pencil Learning Technologies — same team that built Pencil Spaces. Small studio in San Francisco. Ten million sessions on our platform. We've been quietly doing this for a handful of tutors for two years. The kit is what we wished existed for them. Now it does, for everyone.
Applications are open. We respond in two business days.
Greatness never stops.
