Create A Space comes with pickers for your users, sites and existing Spaces, so you don’t have to look up IDs.
Setup
Connected in three steps.
You need a Pipedream account and a Pencil Spaces account with API access.
Generate your API key.
An Institution Admin opens Settings › API & Integrations in Pencil Spaces and clicks Generate API Key. Copy it somewhere safe; it’s shown only once.
Connect Pencil Spaces in Pipedream.
Add the Pencil Spaces app to a workflow and connect your account with your API key.
Add Create A Space.
Choose the action, fill in the options from earlier steps, and deploy your workflow.

Questions, answered.
Is Pipedream Workflows going away?
Pipedream says Workflows will shut down on March 31, 2027, and that Pipedream Connect is not affected. If a workflow creates your Spaces, plan a move before then: the Pencil Spaces API and our Zapier integration do the same job.
What can the Pipedream integration do?
It has one action that creates something, Create A Space, plus three lookup actions for owners, sites and Spaces to clone. Pencil Spaces doesn’t offer Pipedream triggers yet; start from any other trigger.
Can I start from a template?
Yes. Choose an existing Space to clone when you create a new one.
