Video Layouts

Arrange video your way.

수업은 어떻게 진행하시나요?

One fixed video layout never fits every lesson: one-on-one needs a big face, a group needs everyone, and work time needs the board. Video Layouts let you switch between side panel, gallery, single speaker and pop-out views.

In one-on-one tutoring, a tiny thumbnail makes it hard to read your student’s face. Switch to single speaker to see them full size, or put video beside the board while you work.

With 25 students on camera, you need everyone at a glance one minute and the board the next. Switch from gallery to side panel in a click, so the layout follows the lesson.

When a training moves from discussion to hands-on work, the screen should change too. Use gallery for the group conversation and side panel when everyone works on the board.

With your class in the room, you’ll mostly use the board on its own. Layouts matter when some students join by video: put their faces in a side panel so they stay part of the lesson.

In a room, video only matters when someone joins from elsewhere. Put them beside the board on the big screen so they stay part of the discussion.

If your child learns online, the layout decides how well they connect with the teacher. The teacher can show a large face to talk, then shrink it beside the board for work.

The problem

The wrong layout gets in the way

Most call tools pick a layout for you. In one-on-one lessons faces are tiny; in groups the board gets crowded out; during presentations the class disappears.

일반적인 방법

Teachers resize windows by hand, stack apps side by side, and still lose sight of either the board or the people.

How Pencil Spaces solves it

Choose the layout that fits the moment: single speaker, with one person full size and you in a corner; gallery, for a whole group at once; side panel, with video beside the board while everyone works; and a pop-out window that floats over anything else on screen. Grid, full-screen and pinned views are also available.

변경 사항

The right view for every lesson. One-on-one and group classes each get a layout that fits.

What it looks like

실제로는

A teacher starts in gallery to greet the group, switches to side panel for board work, then pops the video out while she shares a website.

In a 1:1 lesson

You start in single speaker to check in with your student face to face, then switch to side panel when it’s time to work on the board together.

In a group class

Class opens in gallery so you can see all 18 faces. When the problem set starts, you switch to side panel and the board takes over.

In a virtual training

You open the training in grid view for introductions, then switch to side panel for the hands-on exercise, with faces still visible beside the work.

In your classroom

Two students are learning from home this week. You put their video in a side panel next to the board on the classroom display, so they’re part of the discussion.

In the training room

A speaker joins your workshop by video. You show her in single speaker on the big screen, then switch to side panel when the room starts working on the board.

At home

Your daughter’s teacher starts each lesson full size to say hello, then moves to a small panel beside the board so the work fills the screen.
